Embraer X, the arm of Embraer focused on developing disruptive businesses, has unveiled its first electrical Vertical Take-Off and Landing (eVTOL) aircraft concept.

The unveiling was made during Uber Elevate 2018, in Los Angeles, California. Embraer X is working on several projects, including the development of eVTOL concepts through a partnership with Uber and other companies to explore business opportunities within the Uber Elevate ecosystem.

Embraer X says its new eVTOL concept is designed around the demands of an urban environment and the key drivers of safety, passenger experience, affordability and a very low noise and emissions footprint.

The company has consulted with potential urban air travellers and various companies and institutions to design the concept.
