Bose introduces the latest iteration of the ProFlight, the ProFlight Series 2 Aviation Headset – the smallest, quietest noise-cancelling aviation headset on the market.

The word “innovative” is frequently used by companies, often when there is no real innovation. Bose is different. Bose has a history of developing truly innovative products based on what customers desire.

In 1989, Bose offered the first commercially available active noise cancelling communication headset for pilots. Ten years later it innovated by taking that technology and putting it in a smaller, lighter and more comfortable headset, the Aviation Headset X. Over the years, Bose has continued that tradition of innovation and, most recently, introduced the ProFlight Aviation Headset, an in-ear, noise cancelling communication headset engineered specifically for pilots operating moderately noisy pressurized turbine powered aircraft. It’s Bose’s aviation headset reimagined.

With all our products, we don’t just say we listen to our customers – we take their feedback seriously and make improvements based on the needs of professional pilots. As a result, the company has been working for the past year to enhance and update the ProFlight headset.

Bose has now introduced the latest iteration of the ProFlight, the ProFlight Series 2 Aviation Headset, offered in a Bluetooth® or non-Bluetooth® version. The ProFlight Series 2 Aviation Headset offers several notable improvements including:

  • Lighter on-head weight (128 grams / 4.5 ounces)
  • A much thinner, lighter, more flexible cable.
  • Enhanced “low mode” (ProFlight has three modes of noise cancellation).
  • Improved tap control for talk-through communication.
  • Updated Bluetooth audio performance.
  • New mic winglets provide clear orientation for the microphone, improving communication clarity.
  • A 5-year limited warranty that Bose will make retroactive for customers who purchased the original ProFlight headset.
  • Improved carry case design that makes storing the headset much easier. It also includes a loop and carabiner to easily attach the case to other items.
  • A non-Bluetooth® version.

The Bose ProFlight Series 2 Aviation Headset is the industry’s smallest, quietest and most comfortable active noise cancelling aviation headset.

Like the original, ProFlight Series 2 is FAA TSO & EASA E/TSO-C139a certified.
