Langer describes Aviatar as an open, modular and neutral platform.
He says: “We capture live data from more than 600 aircraft every second and try to generate predictive maintenance out of it. We want to predict when failures occur. We want to give the technical directors a better overview of their fleet: What is the technical status, what is going to happen in the future? Our customers are saving money.”
For example, he says, through predicting when ignitor plug-ins are going to fail and need to be replaced, Aviatar saves Lufthansa “several hundreds of thousands of euros every year.”
